Organic Skin Care - UK Trends

In the world of make up and skincare these days, the words on everyone's lips always include "natural" and "organic".  Skin care in the UK has often been paid lip service, after all we're renowned for being born with naturally dewy, rosy complexions but it's no longer as simple as that.  Hotter summers, holidays in the sun and bad habits have all ganged up on us to present more obstacles to that much sought after glow.

A natural approach to skin care is something that we can all attain with a few wise choices in product purchasing.  Most of the organic and natural products borrow their ingredients from ancient cultures across the globe, far removed from the products we have all grown up with.  Scientifically speaking, even so called natural substances need to be further verified as to their effectiveness.  But it is becoming more and more obvious that what were once thought of as old wives tales and remedies, really do work.  This is great news and the advent of true organic and natural skin care will provide welcome alternatives for many.

bare escentuals at Glow Girl I'd recommend being choosy about what you buy.  If you're doubtful, stick to the products that have high visibility.  Check out what's being said about them, look at the active ingredients.  The best advice is to steer clear of heavy fragrances and in the case of cosmetics, look for the pure mineral based products that abound.  Be careful in this respect though.  I was recently checking out a well known market brand's new line in mineral based make up and the mineral ingredients were pretty small, it also contained oils which are a huge no-no for my skin.  Final word - I do like Bare Escentuals however, as their range of products is vast and not one of them is a compromise.  They do seem pricey but they last forever and I absolutely adore them; plus, they don't irritate my skin, no matter what state it's in.
