Sports Makeup...

from Ballroom Dancers to Workout Bunnies!

I'm a late starter with makeup - actually, a start/stopper would be a more appropriate description.  My skin's highly sensitive to both products and food types so it's a bit of a curse but I have ALWAYS wanted to mess about with makeup.  I knew about mineral makeups generally and Bare Escentuals was on my radar but the love/hate relationship I had with makeup that had grown over my teens and twenties made me wary. I was always keen on sports and never felt that makeup was appropriate but sometimes in the gym, I felt a little touch of makeup would have given me more confidence.

Click through for Bare Escentuals at great prices from glow girl I became an amateur competitive ballroom dancer about 3 years ago and makeup is de rigeur with this lot!  But even so, I still didn't use foundation as I was too scared.  I actually saw Bare Escentuals reviewed on this site  which also has a lot of tips about natural makeup.  I bought the smallest amount of Bare Minerals Foundation I could afford and I've never looked back (like all good stuff , a little goes a long way with all the Bare Escentuals products). For dance comps, I'd go mad on eyes and lips to compensate for the lack of face makeup so finding Bare Escentuals has been a godsend. My skin can look a bit sallow in the winter too and it's perfect for giving me a bit of a glow - even at the gym I'll use it if I'm  feeling I need a boost.  The "confidence" thing is important too; I've always been unhappy with my complexion and it made me quite shy but somehow the foundation has been a bit of a saviour and my confidence in my looks has grown.

It's funny because I do still have breakouts if I'm not careful but this foundation actually seems to make it less of a problem - I don't think it cures the problem once it's started but it does seem alleviate the severity (anyone else found this or am I imagining things??) I still don't use foundation all the time - but absolutely whenever I need to perk up my skin or if I want to glam up (specially for dancing), it's the only option for me now.  I really, really love it!
